Find Out Why Blake Shelton Probably Won’t Ever Leave ‘The Voice’

“The Voice” has judges come and judges go with the exception of Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Those two don’t seem like they’re ever going to leave.

And there’s one very good reason they stick around … the money.

That’s right, it’s not that they’re happy with their job or love working with their teams. It’s that they like the money.

Or at least that’s what NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt joked this week at the Television Critics Association press tour session.

“They love doing the show and they love the paycheck,” he joked with Entertainment Tonight.

On a more serious note, Greenblatt says that they like the two singers as much as the singers like the show because they test well among viewers.

“If I can compare it to a scripted show, you kind of have your series regulars that you love. They are always hugely popular whenever we do testing and we’ve done a fair amount of that over 11 cycles,” Greenblatt explained. “We think they’re the pillars of the show and then we have this revolving family of Gwen [Stefani], Pharrell, now Miley and Alicia joining the pack.”

So it sounds like Blake and Adam have job security.

The Voice returns Sept. 19, with a special half-hour post-Olympics preview airing Aug. 21 on NBC.
