A kitten went for a 300-mile ride of its life after hiding inside the rear bumper of a U.K Navy helicopter pilot’s BMW.
The tiny hitch-hiker was discovered after the pilot heard a “very quiet meowing” coming from his car. After a thorough search and dismantling his “pride and joy”, the pilot was surprised to find the kitten in his rear bumper.
Fortunately, the feline was unharmed during his journey and found a new home once he left the bumper.
“The place he has felt most comfortable is in my flying helmet, which is the only place he is able to sleep,” Royal Navy pilot Lt Nick Grimmer says.
The members of his squadron, known as the Flying Tigers, have decided to nickname the kitten “Tigger” as they search for his owner according to UPI.
The Commanding Officer of The Flying Tigers said that the kitten must have an owner somewhere between the base and Birmingham, and that his team has been instructed to launch “Operation Tiger Kitten” in order to track them down.
