More details are coming out about the Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen, and his activity before the nightclub shooting in which he killed 49 people before being killed by police and SWAT teams during the hostage situation. His wife has said that he may have scouted a number of locations for his attack, such as Disney properties in the area. Disney has said it has been increasing security measures “for some time.” There are also details that the shooter was a regular at the club for years and was even on at least one same-sex dating app.

More information has also emerged on the victims from Sunday’s tragic shooting. Authorities have released the names of the 49 people who were killed in a massacre early Sunday at a club in Orlando. They ranged in age from 18 to 50, and included a recent high school grad, a barista, an accountant, and a travel planner.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling even took to Twitter yesterday to mourn 22-year-old Luis Vielma, an employee at Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Florida who was killed on Sunday. “Luis Vielma worked on the Harry Potter ride at Universal. He was 22 years old,” Rowling wrote alongside a picture of the young man. “I can’t stop crying. #Orlando.” She also responded to a friend of Vielma’s, writing, “I’m so, so sorry. My heart goes out to you, all his friends and his poor family.”

Adam Levine, who served as Christina Grimmie’s coach when she appeared on The Voice, has offered to help out her family by paying for her funeral services. News of Levine’s offer to pay for his former “The Voice” team member’s funeral was confirmed by Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, on Facebook. He posted that Levine had “personally called” Grimmie’s mother and said “he will pay for the funeral” and their mother’s flight. Christina Grimmie was shot and killed last Friday night at a concert in Orlando.

Kacey Musgraves was very active on Twitter after the tragedy in Orlando. At first she talked about how it made her cry and feel sick. And then she wrote a post that got everyone talking. She said: “Let’s go back to saloon days where every [expletive] is carrying a revolver and anyone walking in to disturb the peace might think twice.” Some people took it for face value, thinking she believes everyone should have a gun, while others thought it was insensitive sarcasm. Either way, she took the post down, but it survived on several websites.

A new bride didn’t let her white gown stop her from reviving a woman who was unconscious on a bench in Pittsburgh. Julie Stroyne, a trauma nurse at UPMC-Presbyterian, was walking in downtown Pittsburgh this weekend after her wedding reception when she and others from her wedding party saw the ailing woman who had no pulse. The bride kicked off her heels, got down on her knees and began performing CPR while others called 911. Gradually, the woman came back from the brink of death and was doing much better when paramedics arrived to take her to the hospital.
