Dwight Yoakam July 7th at Snoqualmie Casino

Thursday, July 7, honky-tonk titan Dwight Yoakam is set to turn it on, turn it up and turn it loose at Snoqualmie Casino, Seattle’s closest casino. Come and experience one of the most iconic voices of the Bakersfield sound live under the stars at Mountain View Plaza.

Known for his stripped-down approach to traditional honky-tonk and country, singer-songwriter, actor and director Dwight Yoakam helped return country music to its roots in the late ‘80s. Unlike many of his Nashville contemporaries, Yoakam never played it safe with his sound, pulling inspiration from both his idols (Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams, Jr.) and unexpected sources (The Beach Boys, The Beatles and the Everly Brothers.) He released his full-length debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. in 1986 and was loved by both pop and country fans alike, eventually going platinum—not bad for someone who never plays by the rules.

The Summer Concert Series is back. Get your hands on the hottest tickets in town and celebrate under the stars at our Mountain View Plaza, the Pacific Northwest’s premier concert venue.
